Scott Romeika
Director of Academic Affairs and Advising
Scott Romeika is Director of Academic Affairs and Advising in the Wharton Undergraduate Division. He joined the Wharton advising team in 2003. Scott not only manages undergraduate advising services, but also plays an active role in the development of interschool initiatives, works to build and strengthen international opportunities for our students, and represents the Wharton School on a number of university committees. Scott provides support and guidance to the faculty on academic programs and policies and is responsible for their implementation and oversight.
Scott received his BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and his M.A. and Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) from Widener University. He has completed internships in clinical psychology, college counseling, and school psychology settings. Outside the office, Scott enjoys running (scenic and muddy trails are best), music, trivia, baseball (go Phillies!), and Scrabble. He lives in University City with his wife and his Portuguese Water Dog Sailor. He is an adjunct instructor at Arcadia University, where he teaches graduate courses in group dynamics and human relations in education.
Melissa Hagan
Senior Associate Director
In addition to advising Wharton undergraduate students in general, Melissa Hagan serves as the primary advising contact for students who are interested in submatriculation into the Penn Law program or who are considering study abroad in Asia. She also oversees the leave of absence process and serves as a liaison to the Office of International Programs’ International Student & Scholar Services Division, working closely with Wharton international students.
Melissa earned a BA in Psychology from Arcadia University in 1999 and a M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont in 2001. When she’s not advising students, you can find her training for a half-marathon and spending time with her dog, Sammi.
Marianne Lipa
Associate Director
Marianne Lipa works with students in coordinated dual-degree programs and also serves on the Internal Transfer/Dual Degree Committee. She is the liaison to the Office of International Programs and serves as the contact person for study abroad programs in Europe. She also advises students interested in submatriculation into the MBA program at Wharton.
Marianne earned her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education in 2004. She received her BA, cum laude, in Romance Languages and History, with a minor in Latin American studies, from Bowdoin College in 2001; she is fluent in French, Spanish, and Italian. She also attended the Business Bridge Certificate Program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She enjoys traveling extensively both domestically and internationally and is an avid skier. Also, Marianne is the current President of the Bowdoin Alumni Club of the Greater Philadelphia area.
LaMoy Morgan Clarke
Associate Director
LaMoy Morgan Clarke serves as the contact for study abroad programs in the Americas and advisor to the Wharton Ambassadors. She also works with external transfer students, sits on the internal transfer/dual degree committee, and manages undergraduate student recruitment and marketing initiatives.
Prior to joining the Wharton Undergraduate Division, LaMoy earned her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Management in May 2007 from the Graduate School of Education at Penn. A Philly native by way of Jamaica, she is a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls and a 2002 alumna of Bryn Mawr College where she earned a B.A. in Sociology. In her spare time, she enjoys watching HGTV, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Shilpa Motwani
Associate Director
Shilpa Motwani primarily advises incoming freshmen and students studying abroad in Australia and New Zealand. She serves as the liaison to the Weingarten Learning Resource Center, Counseling and Psychological Services, and the Tutoring Center.
Shilpa earned her BA in Psychology in 2003 and a M. Ed. in Educational Psychology in 2007 from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining the Wharton Undergraduate Division, she worked for the Business Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin. In her spare time, Shilpa enjoys reading and watching movies.
Megan Zahler
Associate Director
Megan Zahler earned her B.A. in English from The College of New Jersey, and an M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Wharton, Megan coordinated career services for medical students at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Widener University, and she enjoys running, reading, and NPR.
