Entrepreneurship & Innovation Concentration Advisor

Ms. Clare Leinweber - 414 VH (746-6453)

At the Wharton School, entrepreneurship is one of four sub-fields of scholarship within the discipline of "management." A second concentration in Entrepreneurship & Innovation is intended to complement course work completed in a primary concentration and provide a diverse set of options for students to hone their entrepreneurial skills. Entrepreneurship  & Innovation cannot be a student’s only concentration at Wharton; students must have declared a primary concentration.

A total of 4 credit units are required for the second concentration.

One credit unit of:
MGMT 230: Entrepreneurship (1cu)
MGMT 235*: Technological Innovation & Entrepreneurship (1 cu)

LGST 213: Legal Issues for Growth Companies (1 cu)

MGMT 211: Competitive Strategy (1 cu)
MGMT 238: Organizational Behavior (1 cu)
MGMT 244: Personnel Management (1 cu)

* Graduating Management & Technology students have priority for this course, and ONLY M&T students can count this course in the Entrepreneurship & Innovation concentration. All other students are required to take MGMT 230.

One independent study in a related topic may count toward the second concentration. The department offering the course and the management department must approve this.

Double Counting of Courses: 1 cu may simultaneously count toward the Business Breadth requirement and the Entrepreneurship & Innovation second concentration. However, no other double counting is allowed with any other concentration or program.
