Business Fundamentals

In the sophomore year, students begin taking the business fundamentals, which include the following courses:

ACCT 101 – Principles of Accounting I
ACCT 102 – Principles of Accounting II
STAT 101 – Introductory Business Statistics I
STAT 102 – Introductory Business Statistics II
FNCE 100 – Corporate Finance
FNCE 101 – Monetary Economics and the Global Economy
MGMT 101 – Introduction to Management
MKTG 101 – Introduction to Marketing
OPIM 101 – Introduction to the Computer as an Analysis Tool

There are different ways to prioritize completion of the business fundamentals depending on individual student needs and interests.  Students are strongly encouraged to work with their advisor to build an academic plan that meets their goals and ensures that degree requirements are met.  Click here for additional scheduling advice for rising sophomores.
