Wharton Research Scholars
The Wharton Undergraduate Research Scholars Program is an intensive one-year research program for a select group of students who are interested in conducting research under the supervision of distinguished Wharton faculty members.
Students apply to work on a specific project proposed by a Wharton faculty member. These projects are challenging and provide the students an opportunity to experience the process of conducting research in a university setting. Throughout the year, students will convene to discuss progress, strategies and challenges within their project. This interaction creates a sense of community between scholars as well as an avenue to apply learned techniques to their own projects. The research scholars also meet regularly with their faculty mentors who advise the students throughout the entire year. The program culminates with a final presentation for other research scholars, faculty mentors, program directors and the Wharton Undergraduate Vice Dean. Thereafter, an electronic journal is published for all research papers and documented on the University of Pennsylvania Library’s website for public access.
