The primary purpose of Wharton’s academic advising program is to assist students in developing meaningful educational plans that satisfy their academic goals. To this end, we provide undergraduates professional academic advisors and departmental faculty advisors. Additional support is provided by cohort mentors and directors who serve as peer advisors to incoming freshmen.
Wharton Undergraduate Division Advisors
The Undergraduate Division’s academic advisors provide professional academic advising and often serve as mentors, advocates, and guides to Wharton’s undergraduate students.
In the summer, freshmen are assigned by cohort to an advisor, but students may work with any Undergraduate Division advisor during their four years. In the meantime, we invite you to check out the Frequently Asked Questions page where you can also submit questions to our advisors. Coordinated dual-degree students should seek advising from the program advisors listed below.

Each Wharton academic department and concentration has a designated faculty member who serves as the undergraduate advisor for that department or concentration. You will find the departmental undergraduate advisor helpful in answering questions about the department, concentration, or particular field of specialization in business. The departmental faculty undergraduate advisors can be found within the concentration information online here.
Experience is often the best teacher. Students who have completed a year or more at Wharton offer valuable insight from their own experiences. In addition to our peer advising fellows, cohort directors and mentors serve as peer advisors for incoming freshmen. Their goal is to make your transition to the Wharton School and the University as smooth as possible and you will continue to find their insight and support helpful as you progress at Wharton.
