The primary purpose of Wharton’s academic advising program is to assist students in developing meaningful educational plans that satisfy their academic goals. To this end, we provide undergraduates professional academic advisors and departmental faculty advisors. Additional support is provided by cohort mentors and directors who serve as peer advisors to incoming freshmen.
Wharton Undergraduate Division Advisors
The Undergraduate Division’s academic advisors provide professional academic advising and often serve as mentors, advocates, and guides to Wharton’s undergraduate students.
In the summer, freshmen are assigned by cohort to an advisor, but students may work with any Undergraduate Division advisor during their four years. In the meantime, we invite you to check out the Frequently Asked Questions page where you can also submit questions to our advisors. Departmental Faculty Advising
Each Wharton academic department and concentration has a designated faculty member who serves as the undergraduate advisor for that department or concentration. You will find the departmental undergraduate advisor helpful in answering questions about the department, concentration, or particular field of specialization in business.
